The Baddest Bitch Ain’t Going Nowhere

#NotoriousRBG #RuthBaderGinsburg #Feminist
Just going to drop this piece right here.

There was that Washington Post Magazine cover article this week which revealed the obvious: Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Baddest Bitch, isn’t retiring anytime soon. Seriously people, let it go. She’s a god; she’s immortal; she’s knows all, including that a Democrat will win the presidency in 2016, so why would she ever retire? The cover states “she isn’t ready.” That may be true, but really, America isn’t ready. We need her more than she needs us, I’m sure.

Too lazy right now to do anything other than just take the pictures the article already had.But maybe those calling on her to step down are right…she should step down to run for president in 2016! RBG knows a Democrat will win, so why shouldn’t it be her? She can follow in the footsteps of Charles Evans Hughes, who resigned from the Court in 1916 to be the Republican nominee for president, except she’ll actually win. And then when she’s a 110 years old and a former president, she can pull a Taft be nominated to be Chief Justice when John Roberts finally retires. Then she’ll serve on the Court for another, oh let’s say, 50 years and the United States will have entered the halcyon Era of Ginsburg.

So here and now I’m starting the committee to Draft RBG for President 2016. And while I’m at it, the committee to Draft RBG for Chief Justice 2043.
RBG at the buffet. And, oh wow, this piece-of-shit blog was actually mentioned in that Post article. The author, Robert Barnes, calls the GinsBlog “slightly profane.” Really? Slightly profane?

Soon I might write a post about the Baddest Bitch being a hero for racial justice. Just as she’s a women’s rights icon and a gay rights icon and an icon of humanity in general. I actually started writing that post over a month ago, but, you know, things….

Check this out!

This Tumblr began in tribute to Justice Ginsburg’s fierce dissent in a voting rights case, in which she acknowledged the long history, and continuing reality, of racial discrimination in this country. As she has said in another dissent, “The stain of generations of racial oppression is still visible in our society and the determination to hasten its removal remains vital.”

She has also spoken about the importance of a peaceful protest movement to her own success as an attorney arguing for equal rights for women before the Supreme Court.

To quote RBG herself “One can disagree without being disagreeable.” Regarding her recent remarks about athletes’ peaceful protest, we respectfully disagree.

Ginsburg on Cameras in the Court

#NotoriousRBG #RuthBaderGinsburg #Feminist
I ran across the following very interesting video clip. I can tell you guys all admire RBG just like I do. Sweet beans!

During C-SPAN coverage of the 2010 Tenth Circuit Bench and Bar Conference (8/27/10) Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg comments on having cameras in the Supreme Court. Also, Canadian Supreme Court Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin offers her comments. The Canadian Supreme Court has had cameras in the court for 21 years.
