This song is an homage to our beloved SCOTUS Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Christine Hoang wrote these parody lyrics, set to Adele’s song “Rumour Has It,” as a tribute The Notorious RBG, her favorite Supreme Court Justice of the United States of AMERICA! This song was performed in the stage play PEOPLE OF COLOR CHRISTMAS, an original holiday comedy written by playwright Christine Hoang, directed by Rudy Ramirez, and produced by Color Arc Productions in Austin, Texas. The video features a scene from PEOPLE OF COLOR CHRISTMAS where actors Allegra Jade Fox (lead singer), Christine Hoang (back up singer), and Ryan Darbonne (beatboxer) perform the “Ruth Bader Ginsburg” song at a white elephant Christmas party. In December 2017, PEOPLE OF COLOR CHRISTMAS was the FIRST play to tour the City of Austin’s Cultural Centers and was critically acclaimed by the Austin-American Statesman for being “woke” (the Statesman’s words, not ours).
