Happy Fourth of July! The Supreme Court has gone insane!
It turns out the Hobby Lobby majority opinion was a “decision of startling breadth,” just as RBG wrote on Monday. Who would have thought that the ultra-conservative Supreme Court majority would seemingly go against its own three-day-old decision to further expand the ruling in that case? Why, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, of course! I am genuinely scared by where the Roberts Court’s next legal adventure will take us.
I repeat: RBG 2016! In fact, make it a Ginsburg/Sotomayor ticket!
